A total of 14 RTs in the Jakarta area were flooded this morning. Floods inundated residents’ settlements due to the high intensity of rain and the overflow of the Ciliwung River.

This flood data was recorded by the DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), as of 06.00 WIB, Tuesday (25/5). The details are in East Jakarta, there are 3 submerged RTs in Kampung Melayu Village, with a height of 70 to 90 cm. The reason is the overflow of the Ciliwung River.
Meanwhile in South Jakarta, there are 11 RTs in Jatipadang with a height of 40 cm. The cause of flooding is due to high rainfall.
BPBD DKI Jakarta said there were no refugees at this time. It was stated that the flooded areas this morning constituted 0.046 percent of the 30,470 RTs in DKI Jakarta.
“The inundation condition is being handled by the DSDA, Damkar and PPSU Kelurahan and is targeted to subside in a short time,” said Head of the Jakarta BPBD Disaster Information and Data Center, M Inshaf, in his statement.
